Road Safety Studies
Bitzios Consulting undertakes a variety of road safety studies for local and state government as well as for the private sector. We have a number of accredited lead and senior road safety auditors on staff to undertake audits of varying complexity, anywhere in Australia. We have completed in excess of 200 audits over the past few years.
In addition to road safety audits, we undertake speed reviews, Performance Based Standard (PBS) route assessments, signage and line-marking reviews, pedestrian audits, cycleway and cycle-facility design audits, and digital advertising sign assessments.
We also develop road safety policy and guidelines and review traffic management and traffic control plans. Safety risks assessments are also undertaken for rail level crossings and for other unique situations where the traffic safety risk profile is changed.
Importantly, our road safety auditors are not just accredited auditors but are experienced traffic engineers and transport planners who are able to understand an issue from a broader transport planning perspective.
