Management Team

Bitzios Consulting has a completely flat structure, allowing us the freedom to select the best staff on a project by project basis from our pool of over 45 traffic engineers and transport planners.  Our approach is to equip as many of our staff as possible with a full range of traffic engineering and transport planning skills.  Accordingly, all of our staff are  well trained in transport modelling, public transport planning, active transport planning and design, road safety and traffic engineering analysis.

Damien Bitzios, Company Director

With 25 years experience as a traffic engineer and transport planner in consulting and in local government Damien's specialist skills include transport modeling, public transport system planning, traffic analysis, impact assessment and integrated transport planning. He is a highly experienced project manager of a number of traffic and transport projects ranging in size and complexity and has been technical leader on projects throughout Australia, Asia, the Middle East and in America. Damien has published and presented a number of papers nationally and internationally on various modeling and integrated planning topics. Damien has the ability to provide strategic direction to studies whilst also being able to solve detailed technical issues. Damien's key skill areas include:

Steve Brooke, National Manager and Principal Traffic Engineer

Steve has over 34 years experience in transport planning and traffic engineering within local and state governments and eight years in consulting. He is a very experienced traffic engineer and specialises in traffic engineering and parking assessments for development applications and local area planning. Steve's specialist skills include:

Adrian Bitzios,  Principal Traffic Engineer and Transport Planner

With over 20 years' experience in transport planning and traffic engineering predominately in local and state governments, Adrian's specialist skills include project management, traffic management, transport planning, intelligent transport systems planning and network performance evaluation.  He is a highly experienced project manager of a number of traffic and transport projects ranging in size and complexity and has been technical leader and reviewer on projects throughout Australia. Adrian has published and presented a number of papers nationally on traffic network performance, intelligent transport systems, traffic signal operations and integrated planning topics.

Andrew Eke, Manager - Gold Coast/Northern NSW and Senior Traffic Engineer

With 12 years experience as a traffic engineer and transport planner both in Australia and the UK, Andrew has specialist skills in transport modelling, development and town centre master planning, traffic analysis, impact assessment and integrated transport planning. Growing up in both Northern NSW and the Gold Coast, Andrew has a thorough local knowledge of the transport operations in the region. Andrew has led major town centre, retail, community, sports and residential precinct studies for both government and private clients. Andrew's skills include:

Tom Wheatley, Manager Sydney and Principal Traffic Engineer and Transport Planner

With over 20 years of experience in traffic engineering and transport planning in Australia and the United Kingdom, Tom's specialist skills include traffic management, transport modelling, road safety audits and reviews, traffic analysis, impact assessment, parking studies and design of traffic control device schemes. He is a highly experienced project manager of a number of traffic and transport projects ranging in size and complexity.

Luke Darragh, Manager - Brisbane and Senior Traffic Engineer

Luke heads-up our Brisbane office.  He is a Senior Traffic Engineer and Transport Planner with over 11 years' experience, having worked on a range of projects spread throughout Australia and abroad.  Luke has development specialist in strategic and micro-simulation modelling, including achieving internationally recognised accreditation as an Accredited Paramics User (APU) in the Paramics micro-simulation software package.
